# Managing notifications & unsubscribing

> Choose where alerts go, how often you hear from us, and how to stop emails you don't want.

URL Love It can tell you about changes in a few ways, and you're in control of how much you hear. You'll find these controls in your notification settings.

## Where alerts can go

* **Email** - change alerts land in your inbox.
* **Slack** - alerts post into a channel you choose, once you connect Slack (see [Connecting Slack](/integrations/connect-slack)).
* **In-app** - the Changes Feed and the notification bell always keep the full record, whether or not you turn on email or Slack.

## Immediate alerts vs. the daily digest

You can be notified two ways, and they're not mutually exclusive:

* **Immediate alerts** - sent as soon as a significant change is detected. Best for pages where timing matters.
* **Daily digest** - one email that rounds up everything from the last day, so you get a single summary instead of a stream of individual alerts.

## Turning down the volume

If you're getting more than you want, you have a few levers:

* Raise the **severity threshold** so you're only alerted about higher-impact changes.
* Switch from immediate alerts to the **daily digest**.
* Turn off a channel you don't use (for example, email if you live in Slack).

## Unsubscribing from emails

Every alert email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and you can turn email alerts off any time in your notification settings. Unsubscribing stops the emails - your changes are still tracked and always available in the app, so you won't lose any history.

<Note>
  Account and billing emails (like a receipt or an important notice about your subscription) are separate from change alerts and aren't affected by unsubscribing from alerts.
