# Connecting Google Analytics (GA4)

> Link GA4 to surface your highest-traffic pages and add real traffic context to changes.

Connecting Google Analytics (GA4) helps in two ways: it can surface the pages that actually get traffic so you know what's worth monitoring, and it adds context to changes - a change on a page that gets thousands of visits matters more than one on a page nobody sees.

## How to connect

1. Go to your integrations settings and choose **Connect Google Analytics**.
2. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your GA4 property.
3. Grant read-only access when prompted - URL Love It only reads analytics data, it never changes anything in your Google account.
4. Select the GA4 property you want to use.

<Note>
  You'll need access to the GA4 property in Google. If you're not the person who manages analytics, you may need an admin on your team to connect it or grant you access first.
</Note>

## What you get

* **Page discovery** - see which pages are getting traffic, so you can add the ones that matter instead of guessing.
* **Traffic context** - understand how important a changed page is based on the visits it actually receives.

## Privacy & disconnecting

The connection is read-only and used only to power the features above. You can disconnect it any time from your integrations settings, which revokes URL Love It's access. For more on how we handle data, see the [Privacy Policy](https://app.urlloveit.com/privacy).
