# Connecting Slack

> Send change alerts straight into a Slack channel so your team sees them where they already work.

Connecting Slack lets URL Love It post change alerts into a channel of your choice, so the whole team sees important changes without anyone having to check the app.

## How to connect

1. Go to your integration or notification settings and choose **Connect Slack**.
2. Slack will ask you to approve access - sign in and pick the workspace you want.
3. Choose the channel where alerts should be posted.
4. Save. A test message confirms it's working.

<Tip>
  A dedicated channel like `#page-changes` keeps alerts tidy and easy to mute or skim, rather than mixing them into a busy general channel.
</Tip>

## Choosing what gets posted

Slack alerts follow the same rules as your other notifications - you control which severity levels get sent and can use the daily digest instead of individual posts. See [Managing notifications](/alerts/managing-notifications).

## Disconnecting

You can disconnect Slack any time from the same settings screen. This stops alerts from posting and removes URL Love It's access to your workspace. Your change history in the app is unaffected.
